Kristoff is a man who I cannot recommend enough to anyone seeking proper coaching / programming for any strength or fitness goals you may have. At the time of me writing this, it marks little over a year and a half since myself and Kristoff connected and started training together and, over that period of time, the progress I've gained in strength, physique, and knowledge of lifting/recovery is beyond any expectation I would have imagined at the start of this journey.
His high level of knowledge, guidance, and wisdom on the human body, it's many mechanisms / functions, and how to properly move weight and target weak points to grow stronger (while feeling better) is something I have yet to see from any other trainer online or in person. Kristoff is by far the most attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating trainer I have ever worked with. He inspires great loyalty from his clients, and he knows how to get results.
Kristoff is always sensitive to my goals and getting me where I want to go at the pace I want to get there. I first started working with Kristoff about 6 years ago. Throughout our relationship, I have always had a demanding career that requires long hours. Sometimes, showing up to the gym is the only way I can get an hour away from my desk. Kristoff understands that and is always ready to help me focus on my workout and let go of my work stress. He is also accommodating when my schedule is a mess and will move our sessions around to make sure I get my workouts in. Most importantly, he makes sure our time together in the gym is goal-oriented, which means I see real gains week after week. He supplements his training with advice on nutrition, recover, rest, and stress management (which is really the reason I work out to begin with).

As it turns out, I am pretty strong for a girl, and I find the mathematical precision of the training schedule really satisfying. I'm writing to this website to recommend to anyone thinking of finding a trainer that they should get together with Kristoff. And in case you might be a little intimidated because he looks like a marauding Viking or possibly even a Berserker, don't worry -- I've known him for 6 years and he's a super nice and chill guy. I've trained with him this whole time and I can say Kristoff gets the absolute highest marks on the three key evaluative dimensions I use:
(1) Expertise. He's got great technical knowledge of lifting, fitness, nutrition - and he makes sure you do all your work properly.
(2) Understanding client needs. He does a great job of knowing what your fitness and health needs are and planning out an effective approach for each person he trains.
(3) Reliability. He's a good dude and you can always count on him -- he is very serious about treating his clients well and managing schedules properly.

At the beginning of 2021, I weighed 95lbs and never had a real relationship with the gym. In June 2021, I jumped straight into the fire -- training with Viking Way 3x a week with the goal of gaining weight/muscle and improving my strength. I’ve been training with Kristoff since August of 2021 and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for investing in my physical and mental health. Training day has quickly become my favorite day of the week! As soon as you talk with him, Kristoff’s knowledge and passion for fitness and personal training is extremely evident. What if I've never worked out before?If you want something you've never had, you have to do things you've never done. I am here to guide, teach, and I will work to make the process as enjoyable for you as possible.

What if I'm too old?You can improve your physical well-being in your older adult years even if you've never exercised before. It's not how old you are, it's how much you move - and if you're not moving, let's start!

What if I'm too young?If you can walk, you can improve yourself. Youth is a gift you shouldn't take for granted.

My life is very busy, how would I find time to train?If it's hard to find time for exercise, don't fall back on excuses. Schedule workouts as you would any other important activity. Planning ahead will increase success as well as communicating with me on planning days/times for you to work out that fit into your schedule. If you can find a minimum of 2-3 days to dedicate an hour of your time, we can make long lasting, positive changes to your daily life.

ONLINE TRAINING: What kind of gym equipment do I need?Ideally, you'd have a gym membership, or a relatively equipped home gym (free weights, bench, etc.). This is all highly dependent on your goals. Powerlifters would want something reflective of competition day, body builders would need a wider range of muscle specific tools , if you're just needing to lose weight and gain some confidence with working out, a minimal set up is sufficient. Ultimately, I can and will design an effective workout for you based on whatever equipment you have access to.

ONLINE TRAINING: How quickly will the training begin?Expect your first workout to be delivered within 3 business days of your consultation call. As long as you complete the initial forms and we're able to complete our initial consult call, your personalized workouts will be delivered relatively quickly. If you absolutely need your training programs sooner than 5 business days, please contact me before purchasing.

ONLINE TRAINING: How will we communicate?We'll mostly communicate through my custom personal training app on your phone, which will easily allow us to speak via text and share videos of your workouts for critique. We'll also plan a monthly phone call for progress checks.

ONLINE TRAINING: Why work with a personal trainer online when I can just purchase a program?Programs are cookie cutter, and most definitely not customized to your schedule and personal goals. Since you'll be sending videos of your exercises, I'll also be able to help with your form and correct any imbalances. Restrictions, injuries, things you may think you're not capable of - there are almost an incalculable number of benefits to working out with a personal trainer compared to what you would get from a simple program. This is training that grows with you, not just sent to you.
